Why arent you wearing shorts over them in the first place?
Women's are double sublimated to keep them from showing through. Men's are as pictured and easier to see through if heavily stretched.
Different gyms have different standards. Some gyms will only allow their brand of spats, etc while others my be more leissez faire.
