People seem to rave about this gi, so I bought it out of curiosity, I love my panda gi, so this better be equal or better, or I will never trust you guys again, lol.
You wont be disaapointed, esp @ 350 GSM. This is a Florida summer gi!
My son has this gi but he much prefers his Origin or IG gis, in that order. Though I think it's as much about the cut as the fabric. This would probably rank right in the middle of roughly 12-15 gis that he owns. (*He hasn't exactly told me this, he's 16 and there's 100 better things to do than talk to your mom. However, I do his laundry and he wears roughly 2 gis a day, 5 days a week. I know which ones he's wearing the most.
I'll say this: the Kitsune (93 Brand) gis have MUCH better rise on the waist than panda pants. Love my panda gis but my 93 Brand (which is Kitsune) have so much better rise on the waist which means I don't have to wear them ultra low just so much twig n berries aren't bunched. I think you'll dig.
he said twig and berries ????
I have pandas, origin, flow, and kitsune gis. All around the kitsune is my top gi. The lettering on the pants doesnt last long but otherwise everthing else performs well. Im 5-10” 180# and the A2 is spot on.
Im a woman but…with the exception of my Albino & Preto gi, my kitsune gis fit the best. I have bought the Pandas multiple times but they dont make good pants if hkh have hips/booty. I also have Toro and 93 brand.
I have this gi and the top is great (very light obv) but the pants were way too baggy.
@ Whodey which IG Panda Gi do you have? Ultra Light? 450? Panda 400? Bamboo? If youre interested, we can chime in for comparison of models.
I love my Kitsune Script gi. My favorite currently
The Kitsune Script feels great to roll in, but it looks like thermal underwear.
@ fdnyceguy - Im sure you guys mean the Cursive, but just FYI to anyone reading: Kitsune has two models: Cursive and Cursive LITE. The former is their heaviest Gi ever and the latter is lighter than even the premium 350GSM Gis like today's Bloom Gi. More toned down trim, no carry bag, no mesh paneling. New Cursive Lite models coming before Spring is over : Agreed that the fabrics on the Lite are uniquely textured. Jacket is similar to Hyperfly's StarLyte, pants are a new one we'd never seen before... sorta hybrid of a very light Pearl Weave / Ripstop. I'll be suggesting they change the name to Thermal Waffley Goodness Weave.
Rolling around on the ground in pajamas is cringe. Real men train in overpriced compression shirts and spandex.
Youre just afraid to get choked out with your own pajamas…
Kitsuna gis are amazing. I have two. Equal or better than my upsidedown panda doctor gi
Highly concur!
Love this gi. One of my favorites. Highly recommended.
First blue gi lets go!!!
Bought 2 after being jealous of my husbands. Super soft & light
great gi. I have 3 kitsune, my favorite gis by far.
Dang, got here too late. 5'6" 160 - would putting the A2 in the dryer shrink it enough?
I'm 5'7", around 165lbs.. I bought kitsune heroes A2 white gi few years ago, it is way too baggy even after numerous warm wash & driers.
How much did it shrink. Thinking I'll grab an A1H next time this deal comes.
What size would anyone suggest for me? I’m 5’8” and 205 lbs. Their size charts don’t have anything listed for my size.
A2H
Probably the A2H or A3 and spend a few bucks to get it altered.
I bought the 93brand hooks v5 and loved it at first. Perfect fit and confortable. But disappointed that during class, the sleeves stretched out about 2”. I returned it.
I have far too many gi's....this gi looks good though....
Looked like sambo uniform.. Turns out its 2012 BJJ uniform. Left disappointed
