Fuji's All Around model has been a staple of BJJ practitioners' repertoire for years.$75
Very disappointed! It took 1 week before they offered blue because the white inventory was off ... then another week and I reach out to see order status to find out the blue was not available. Check your inventory prior to offering an alternate ... I guess you cann afford to have poor CS and throwaway business.
I recieved my A5 Fuji Gi and its very big. I posted above that Im 5'7 250lbs. a 38 waist. The pants are a bit big but the kimono is huge Im gonna try shrinking it, then im just gonna sell it on ebay if i cant get it small enough. I kinda wanna try on an A4
I ordered last night! Fuji Victory is shown on all other websites having the logo embroidered on the sleeve. Does this have blank sleeves as pictured, or logo sleeves like all other Fuji Victory?
Ordered two. Three ordered in the house altogether : )
Bought this gi months ago - no complaints and it seems like it will last forever. I'm 5'8", 135 (I was a long distance runner for a long time so gi's are tricky for me). I bought the A3 and purposely washed it to shrink. The sleeves shrank about an inch and same with the pants. Results = perfect length but VERY roomy. Doesn't get in the way and I just cinch up the pants really tight (I have a 28" waist). I kinda like it because it doesn't restrict my movements at all like my "better" fitting gi sometimes does.
My son want to buy the Fuji BJJ Gi $60, but when we try to change the address where the package should by sent, not let us. My e-mail is vleiva19@hotmail.com, if you have a sugestion thanks Victor Leiva
I'm 5'8 and 225Ibs and wondering if I should get A4 or a A5 gi?
Tough to tell. I'm 6'1" 210 and I fit into an A3. A4 or 5 you may be swimming at 5'8. In my blue Fuji I do have plenty of room around the middle to spare.
I'm the same height but about 240, and I use an A3. I had to shrink the pants a bit since they were pretty long on me, but after that it was perfect. I don't have a Fuji though, I'm not sure how much variation there is among the different brands.
Thanks for the help with the sizing, guys (and for last time ;)... ). BJJHQ, I know many people make requests or suggestions on deals, so I hope this post isn't considered off-topic: Have you ever considered having a deal on a pack of Fight Soap or a similar product? I follow you guys pretty religiously (even before making an account), but I haven't seen anything on a soap made for mat rats. Selling one bar at a time might be too much (S&H would cost as much as the soap), but maybe a pack or something? I checked out MAS to see if I could order some, but I couldn't find any. What do you think?
Not a bad idea. I'll work on it.
I've used Arm Bar soap (www.armbarsoap.com) and love it. It smells, feels, and works great. And it's cheaper than fight soap. You can also buy packs in many sizes. Would be cool if it were carried here!
Try Super Body Care too. All natural
Should I get the A4 if i'm 6' 1" and floating around the lower end of 195-200? Should that account for shrinkage?
In my opinion, yes. I have training partners at 6'0" 200 lbs and 6'3" 185 lbs. Both wear Fuji A4... fits like a charm after washing.
Does this gi include a belt, or is there a way I can add one to the same order?
Colored belts come with orders placed on MartialArtsSupplies.com, but not for BJJHQ.
Ah ok, thanks. Now, I'm 5'11, 245. Will this shrink on me too much if I get an A4, or can I control it with cold washes, etc?
I'm 5'10 and 183lbs. I wear an A2 Koral light, but I find it a touch short. Should I go for the A3?
Yes, I am pretty much the exact same size 5'10" 180lbs. and I wear an A3 in fuji gis.
Cool, Thanks for that!
Billy Barnacles it sounds as though you do not look anything like your profile pic
Pretty much need an A3. After the Shrink it will fit nicely.
I made the mistake and purchase an A2 when in fact, I needed an A3. I'm 5'9" and 175lbs. I'll be purchasing an A3 (in this particular gi) the next time around. It's a little tricky, but almost like playing trial an error, based on the manufacturer.
Im 5'7" 250lbs. I want to pick up this as my first gi and Im unsure about the size to get so if anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated. I wear a size 38 waist and I know i can hem the pants I have a big gut a broad shoulders, should i order an a5 or a6?
I am 6'1" and 280lbs and my last fuji size A5 the pants fit perfectly and the jacket was a bit big but shrank. I believe the A5 is a 41inch waist but it ties up. A6 would be a tent.
i agree with mark. we are almost exactly the same size, and all of my fuji gis (i have 2 kassens and one all-around) are A5s. pants are fine, jacket needed a shrink, but now it's all good.
Im 5'7 250. i have broad shoulders and a big gut. I wear a size 38 waist. should i get the a5 or a6? i know i can hem the pants.
This is my first gi purchase, I'm 5'9" 170. Should I get the A3 or should I size up and account for shrinkage and get the A4? Thanks in advance
Sorry, I meant get the A2 or A3
A3, these do shrink. Massively in some cases.
Thanks for the quick response Patrick!
yo'll fit perfectly in an a2. we have similar measurements, only i put on weight and am about 186 now and still prefer the a2.
I usually wear an A1 (5'5) in just about every other brand. But I have 2 Fuji A2 gi's and one of them has shrunk beyond use. If go 1-2 sizes bigger than usual and shrink to fit if required.
I'm 5'9", 180 and I wear A2. It fits me perfect right out of the package. I'm sure if I threw it in the dryer, it would shrink, but I hang dry it. The kimono hugs me like a straight jacket (which I prefer). I own the white and black Fuji like whats listed here. Good luck guys!
Is this Gi light weight though?
This is an every day gi. If you want a light gi for making weight at competitions, the Vulkan we just sold is a good choice, so is the Tatami Zero G, etc. Stay tuned and we'll have some super light competition gis coming up.
Any ideas on how much it weights? I dont think it is their lightweight gi? Thanks!
I wouldn't use this gi for competition. It's fairly heavier than comparable gis and the fabric feels thick. This is a great gi for training and a good way to fill out your rotation.
I'm 5'6" and 140 pounds. Right on the lower end of the A2's. Will this shrink at all?
You can shrink this gi, just be careful to not overdo it.
I'm about 5'10" 185 and wear A2's... I'd get the A1 if I were you
agreed ^
I'm 5'6" and 142 pounds and I have the black and blue one of this exact gi in an A2 and they fit perfect - i would order an A2. I also have a white fuji summerweight one in an A2 that also fits perfect - get the A2 not the A1 if you're 5'6" 140!!!!!
5'7" and 165 lbs (mostly in the legs)... do I go with the A2? My Grab&Pull gi is A2 and fits me just right. The reviews sound pretty decent on this one, so I think I'm going to pull the trigger. Has anyone used this gi or the Fuji brand before? I read it's a little loose in the midsection if you have an athletic build?
Do NOT get the A1 if you are 5'6" and 140. I have this in an A1 and, I swear, some days it looks like I am going digging for clams (I am 5'2", 120). Get the A2. You can always shrink down, but you can't *shrink* up.
Thanks, Kerfluffler... I actually fluctuated in weight this last summer (around 155-160 usually... wasn't able to train this summer due to work and international travel :(...). I'll go for the A2!
I had just bought a gi on labor day... :( This is an amazing deal.
I bought the black one about a month ago for $80. Too bad I already have a white one. This is an AMAZING deal!
