I would wait and get a GI that will fit you great. We will have an f1 in the next week or so.

6'5 210lb. would the A5 fit well? the tops tend to be large on me.

@Daniel: In my experience, you can get away with going an inch over the recommended Submission FC height range as long as you cold wash and hang dry. So if you pick up the A4 it should do the trick. The only dimension that might not be perfect is the jacket width, as you mentioned. Sounds like you're a tall/lanky guy so the jacket may be baggier than a more tailored fit like those in-between sizes...

BUT if you hold out for something in A3L, it'll be picture perfect.
A3L, particularly 93 Brand's, is built just for a body type like yours, check out the ideal ranges: http://uploaded_photos_z.s3.amazonaws.com/238.jpg

@George, thank you for that insight. I might have to check out some 93 brand Gis!

Don't ever hem a "common" Gi. Tons of options out there and hemming makes a good deal a bad one and it has to be done properly. they are easy to shrink but I wouldn't buy with the intent of hemming.

I have a friend who is new to jiu jitsu, and wants his first gi. Problem is, he is 5'7" and 235. What size gi?

Don't ever hem a "common" gi..waste of time and money and perhaps durability when there are tons of options out there. shrinking is as far as you should go.
