Will these accommodate a larger ball sack?

Jocks vary in size, cups are one size fits all. If your balls won't fit, quit jiu jitsu and join the circus.

I've been rolling with this cup for prolly 9 months now. It originally came with some crappy spandext shorts but the cup has been amazing for jitz. super comfortable. I'm buying a spare and excited about the extra supporter.

Anybody vouch for the effectiveness of the spiderguard cup? I see the appeal, but I can't shake the feeling that it might not protect you much...

I ended up throwing mine away actually. Out of the package, I had to resew one of the jocks because the stitching was so bad and the other unraveled after a few uses. Protection wise, they felt like an in between of no cup and standard plastic cup. It's comfortable yes, but you will feel any impacts that aren't dead center more than a regular cup.

Although I don't do MMA or Muay Thai or any full contact striking/sparring, I can't imagine it working for striking any of these applications. It's just not that kind of cup. HOWEVER, I use it for BJJ a lot and I have to say it's very comfortable for the odd knocks and bumps you'll get in BJJ. I recommend wearing a compression short over the jock/cup, that seems to help me a lot. I hope that helps

I have these kind of jock straps. A word of advice when trying to wash them: Don't put them in the dryer. Hang them instead.

Anything with lycra/stretch fibers on the content of the fabric weakens and melts over time like rubber. Try putting rubber in the dryer and over time it melts and destroys the band. Best to hang dry most garments with lycra in them like the rashies to prolong life of the garment.

I expect wear and tear on any spandex/lycra/elastic bands. Thing is I need to be able to wash and dry my gear everyday. No time for hang drying anything.

Thats why you get two straps with this. I've put the cup in the dryer with another jock and it hasnt deformed so far.
