Premier fight company LUTA has made their name by producing great gear for a great cause.
just wanted to say that this is my absolute favorite rashguard, i purchased one from BJJHQ last time they had it up. i have several scrambles, a manto, and a couple random ones, but this is the best looking, most comfortable, and best made. i love scramble's graphics but there's just an understated coolness to the black and yellow colors on this one. it's very reasonably priced considering the quality and charitable donation you are making to an amazing cause. it looks great with their matching black and yellow shorts too. as far as sizing, i am 6'5" and 220lbs and the XL was fine on me.
Wish I was able to afford this right now, especially since I'm in the market for a rashguard. However, I am really glad you guys told us about their cause and I will be sure to look at Luta products later. I was very impressed with their donations. While I won't get one today, for future reference, what would a guy 160 lbs and 5'7, 40'' chest (athletic, stocky build) wear? Medium, I'd venture to guess?
Would love to see a scramble rashie (full sleeve) or 93 Brand x Meerkatsu x Tatami "Mandrill" Rash Guard again!
What size would you recommend for a female that usually takes a woman's large? I am 5'10" 150 lbs and a 34D
These run small. I'm 5'11" and 210 lbs. I bought an xl before and it was just too small. I think a large would be your best bet.
As a guy, I'm maybe 5' 10.5" and weigh about 182. I'm built pretty stocky and my chest size is like 39". Larges are usually a tad too long or loose, but mediums are usually a bit too tight around my chest. Since these stretch I'd consider a medium, but if they do run small I'd get a large. If you normally wear a woman's large I'd say get a medium, especially since you're 30 pounds less than me, but I don't know if they run really small
why is this so expensive?
Because it's shipped from overseas and because the materials and workmanship are higher quality than the equivalently priced Storm or Hayabusa rashguards,
Because this rash guard goes for $100 retail. The company also donates a lot of it's profits to underprivileged kids.
Actually THIS rash guard does not go for 100 retail. Look it up. As far as it being shipped from overseas, check the tag on your rash guard that you wore the last time you trained, Pakistan? China? Quality??? Materials????? Workmanship?????? http://jonnysjiujitsu.wordpress.com/2012/02/23/livin-la-vida-luta-rolling-in-my-new-rash-guard/ Has anyone done a review of this rash guard?
I think they're made in Thailand. I'll confirm. The feel on this rashguard is great. The company was created to support Fight For Peace, which is a hard-core charity that takes hundreds of kids from the worst slums of Brazil and simultaneously educates them and teaches them to fight (boxing and jiu jitsu). But it's not for everyone.

Im a fml, 36 inch chest 31 inch waist, going by the size guide on the website im going with a small, hoping it's not going to be too tight though!
Emil Fischer - you're right. It doesn't sell for $100. I was thinking about the whit shirt,
