First off this gi is beautiful, the material and all, but To answer the question, yes this gi is no doubt for the tall, lean skinny guy. Example, I got it in white for my son, He's 11 years old 5"1 and 105 lbs. I purchased the A0, after shrinkage, this gi fits pretty much like a glove as if it is tailor made (arm length and leg length. . His measurements 5"1 , 105lbs, 27 waist, 30,5 chest, 35.5 outseam, 28 inseam. There is a you tube video that gives a closeup on this gi and a review. Personally I would say this gi isn't for the stocky type.

I ordered the shock doctor bioflex cup 2 weeks ago, it still says pre-processing on the order status. What gives?

Dean - Sorry about that. When we went to ship them we discovered we had kids sizes rather than adult sizes. The adult sizes on the way and will ship on the 2nd. Sorry for the trouble. If you want to cancel, please email cs@bjjhq.com

Marcelo probably had the gi tailored. Or in his case don't be surprised if keiko was willing to custom size the gi for him. After all it would be MG seen in their gi, a real PR point.

I've read some reviews that the sizes were more for tall skinny guys. Would the pants and sleeves be too long for 5'9" 205 lbs stocky? Which size should I get or is this not the gi for me?

I agree about this brand being for tall, skinny guys. I'm 5'8" 180 lbs. An A2 was the right length but too tight for me. Kinda odd that Marcelo Garcia wears this gi since he's not a tall, skinny guy.

    Joshua,

I have this same Gi in A3 white, (5'11" - 195 muscular ) and the length was perfect but the chest and back were too tight...great gi though just made for the leaner bjj player

They just had a blue Tatami gi on sale for $60 in mid December. I received it Dec.24 and it is great. I love the color and it's well made.
