Hey guys! OK so I'm 5'0" and a good, curvy 145 ...I have some friends that make some gis and got an A1 in their brand but was able to try them on...do you have a size you'd recommend?

From what I am reading, looks like the A0 might be best? A1 might be too long...

I am similar size. Bought A0T before and the skirt and sleeves got short on me after first wash. I bought the A1 for this.

I found the A0s in the pearl weave to be very long in the arms and a little baggy in the pants, which were to my heels. I'm 5'6" 120 lbs. I just got it and haven't washed it though. May return it because it's so big.

I am 5'5" 135-140 lbs btw. I will probably shrink mine too. You can always shrink it. But if it's too small from the first wash, you're gonna end up not using it as much since you can't return it.

I'd recommend grabbing the A1 and shrinking to the desired fit :)

5'9" 193, athletic build thoughts on size? Fugi victory A3 fits perfect as shrunk, tatami subzero comp A3 fits well after shrunk, only complaint is kimono too long in the back. Thanks!

Looks like A2, but just afraid of having broad shoulders and long arms making the arms too short.

Close call because you're at the very top of the A2 range, but that does appear to be the best choice... I'm going to ask the senior Panda in Command, as he he more experience with the shrinkage and cut of this Gi. Will report back shortly!

Ok so your best bet is go grab the A3 and shrink to fit. Warm wash and then put it in the dryer on Medium or High Heat for 15 minute intervals. Checking between each interval to make sure you don't overshrink it :)

Thanks, George! Mshain81, your A2 fits well? I prefer to machine dry when possible. Do you hang yours?

Woo! Happy birthday to me: my new tournament kimono! Been waiting for a while. If this pearly white panda turns out to be as durable as the panda 2.0 at a 350gsm weave I'll be thrilled! White and earth/bleached gi are where it's at!

I'm 5' 8.5" tall male and walk around at 155ish, normal leg and arm proportions, and an leaning-athletic build (not huge through the shoulders). I find the A1T fits perfectly. Inverted Gear will happily send you a more detailed measurement chart and help you find a good fit, just email or call them.

The "T" , "S" , or "T/S" sizes are pretty much the same alterations: a slimmer/taller version of the original size.

The A0-T/S is more so slim than tall, recommended for someone between 5'0" and 5'3" and between roughly 100 and 130 lbs

I haven't tried the gold weave but I tried the pearl weave a0t and the arms were super long and the pants were on the long side too. Bigger than a Fuji a1 maybe similar to a tatami A0 except baggier pants. I'm 5'6" 120 lbs. CTRL A0 is verging on too short for me but the inverted gear I would have to try to shrink a lot.

Typically yes, it's easier to shrink a gold weave than a pearl weave (though it can vary depending on how pre-shrunk the gold is and how susceptible any given pearl weave is). In the case of Inverted Gear, it is true that their Gold Weave Panda will shrink more than a Pearl Weave Panda given the same washing temperatures.
