Personally would've gone with A2-Tall. Your weight is outside of the A1T range and your height is the highest recommended for A1T, so after a wash it might be too small.
A2T you could wash without worry. I'm 6'2" 174 lbs and the A2T is pretty perfect after a cold wash and hang dry (I prefer a tailored sort of fit). So if you washed warm it'd be perfecto, IMO.

I bought the CS gi when it first came out and I had the dye incident happen to me. I emailed IG and they sent me a new replacement gi for the trouble.

I've read that there have been a small percentage of cases where the purple has bled onto the gi after the first wash. Any suggestions to prevent that possibility from happening?

Updated care instructions will be included in the orders, they are:

To prevent any color bleed, wash the gi in coldwater, by itself, and add two cups of distilled vinegar with a mild detergent.

Apparently my post didn't go through before. I'm 5'8.5" 140 lbs and I got an A1 tall/slim and it fits well. Shrunk exactly to my size. I don't know how the different material will shrink, but my guess would be that A1 might be too small for you.

oh no, i purchased A1 without having seen your post. i just emailed them asking for a size change to the tall/slim. i hope they will be able to change it for me. And, Jay's post is a bit concerning as well. Is there a way from preventing the bleeding?

I'm 5'8" 155lbs 11% body fat and the blue panda gi A1TS fits me well. I had to shrink the jacket but the pants are right on. I like the slim fit though. Plus I have long arms. If your arms are short you might have to shrink it more. Best fitting gi I ever bought! .

I read a bit about bamboo and saw some concerns expressed that a lot of "Bamboo fabrics" on the market are really rayon that started as bamboo. Does anyone have any information about the bamboo that went into producing this gi, how it was sourced, whether it's natural bamboo or has been turned into rayon?

If the labels on the back, lapel and pants are removed before I wash, am I left with purple stains in those areas?

" Updated care instructions will be included in the orders, they are:
