I'm 5'6 and 200 pounds (I'm working on it). Should I get an A3 and then shrink it down or pray for the swine flu and get an A2?

LOL hope you don't get the swine flu. We have a guy at the gym who is around your height and weight and was able to shrink the gi down to fit pretty nicely. Took him a few hot water washes and drying.

I just realized that our pics don't include the angle that shows the arm art. See https://sites.google.com/a/flowkimonos.com/flowkimonos/home/frontpage8.png for a good angle.

Any chance of a decent gi bag coming up? There have been some great gi on here recently, it would be nice to see something to put them in.

A2 will be fine for you. You'll have to shrink it just a tad to get the fit perfect.

I wear an A2 in this gi and I'm 5'8" 180lbs. A1 would fit you the best IMO.

One of the lightest gis I've ever tried.. Yet it's comfortable and is not easy to grab like a summer weave.

I'd suggest going bigger than smaller. Its much easier to fix it that way. The skirts do tend to be short (competition cut) so I'd err on the side of bigger.

The gi is designed to shrink to fit. If you decide that you need to shrink it, please wash on cold, and dry on low heat and check the fit every 10-15 minutes.

I'm one of the co-founders of Flow and I just spoke to my partner to double check your question. An A4 should work for your size, just make sure you machine wash cold and hang dry. For reference, a friend is about 6'3" 185 and wears an A3. I'm 6'1" and about 205 lbs and I also wear an A3. At your weight and size it should fit pretty well.

    Enjoy!

Can't comment personally on the estilo 3.0. I've never seen one. I can tell you that I've trained and competed regularly in this and haven't had any any noticable wear.

I own one of the hemp ones. Super soft and well made gi. Extremely durable but also (as I said) very comfortable.
I am 5'8 and had to machine shrink the pants a tad.

Guys, I've got two of these in my possession, as well an the older pro series.. Not to knock the older model as it is a killer gi, but FK have really stepped it up a notch and made some major improvements on the design. Awesome draw string (not too long, not too stretchy), super light weave -- comfier than my Pranas.. Nice cut and clean design. Great for adding patches but looks sick on its own. Personally I have a slight preference to the black model.
