29.6% rayon from Bamboo. I own it and highly recommend it, its at the top of my lineup and gets the most use. Comfortable like no other gi, you'd be surprised man.

After all the lies from Submission FC, I'm surprised BJJHQ is selling this. Probably fake GI. Even if it's not, most should avoid based on company integrity alone.
Here are some investigations and links that:

Cole - We certainly considered it. I consider Chris from Datsusara a friend and he called me to let me know about the issue when he discovered it and released the info. We also sell Flow products, and they make a real hemp gi. We pulled all Sub FC products from all our sites and did not expect to ever sell their products again.

After reflection and discussion and we decided to sell their non hemp branded products again.

When we launched BJJHQ, Shakib supported us by running several sales for the Sub FC Light gi.

He made a mistake with the Hemp gis.

Now the shoe is on the other foot and he needs our support, and we're going to provide it.

Billy that's true. We all make mistakes. Important thing is that they have owned up to their mistake, apologized, and took care of all their customers. Heck they are the only company that is transparently showing lab results on their bamboo gi. The BJJ community I know are not like the comments I saw on here today, so sad. I support this brand and Submission Gis are the only bjj gis I wear.

Mine too Jude, I even wear the original 'Hemp' Sensation since its still a well made gi, its just a cotton gi like every other gi out there, but it is considerably softer. The Frenzy is amazing, Its my favorite.
Way to go BJJHQ for this! "Now the shoe is on the other foot and he needs our support, and we're going to provide it."

You're really going to knock them for trying to bring sustainability to the BJJ gear market, something that is new, and hitting some bumps along the way??? They've more than made up for the "hemp" gi with hemp shirts, bamboo rayon shirts, organic cotton shirts, this gi and now with recycled poly rashies.

Believe me, it's not. After our last mishap we have learned not to take our manufacturers word for anything and we have taken extra measures to verify and lab test anything we claim. This Bamboo Frenzy Gi has been tested with SGS and full lab results are downloadable on SubmissionFC.com You can also read our blog post to learn more about real bamboo textiles: http://submissionfc.com/blog/entry/51-what-we-ve-learned-about-bamboo

Even your normal Submission Gi seems to be sub-standard quality. I own one and the fit and weight are great, but in less than 2 years of medium use (it's 1 out of 5 gis I own and rotate regularly) the collar is freying pretty bad and the pants have ripped. It's the only gi of mine that's shown any wear. Not my Fuji, Gameness, Grab & Pull or 93 Brands show wear like my Submission one has.

It's a shame, because I do like the gi and would like to own more of them, but the quality just doesn't seem to be there.

Sean, our Submission Light Gi is our cheapest gi thus it's geared more towards being your first gi or beginner gi. I'm sorry it's not working out to your liking. We always stand by our products so shoot us an email at cs@submissionfc.com and we'll get you taken cared of.

I'm still unsure about my first Gi.
I'm 6'0 and 165 lbs.. I don't want anything baggy but also nothing too short.. any ideas would be appreciated!
I think maybe A3 seems like it would work

I'm 5'10" and 170lbs I normally go with an A2 . The A2 on this chart stops at 5'9" just wondering if I should go A2 or A3 (I always wash and hang dry)

A2 should do the trick, just stick with your cold wash/hang dry and it'll be fine :)

At a savings of just over 26% off the regular price, I WOULD buy it, given that I have been interested, but I can't stand those "Bamboo Frenzy" patches.

I am 5'6" and 140lb with shortish arms and legs. Always machine dry my gi's. Would the A2 shrink enough or go with A1 and find a way to hang dry. Tatami A1s and Fuji A2s fit perfect after repeated machine drying.

Normally I'd say the best option is A1 and just be sure to cold wash/hang dry since you're at the top of the range. But if you are definitely going to machine dry, then it depends on the shrinkage rate of these...

@Shakib can you chime in regarding the heat shrinkage of the materials?

I'm 5' 7' I have the A2 since being released, the sleeves are a bit long but a few hot washed and drying fixed it mostly. The pants are PERFECT right out of the bag so I used cold wash and hang dry for the pants.

I'd say go with an A2. The top is not pre-shrunk so it needs a few trips in the washer and dryer before it shrinks to fit. The bottom will fit you perfectly right out of the bag.

Close call. A3 chart cuts off at 6'0" but I'm 6'2" and I've worn Sub FC's A3 comfortably (just be sure to cold wash/hang dry).
A4 would be good for your height but too baggy due to the weight range being 210-260 lbs.
There's a chance you'd find it a bit short but if you decide to pick this Gi, A3 is a better choice than A4.
