What did you guys get and was it at a better price? I am new to this site and am considering buying this, but I want to know how this deal compares to other white gis that I will run into on this site

$60-$70 is about the best price you'll find on a gi anywhere. If you click the Archive tab at the top right of the screen you can see all the past deals to compare.

Benjamin, This is a really good price for a quality Gi. But, this gi is NOT White - it is natural color (almost a beige) and is really good for custom dying or using as is; but just wanted to make sure you understood it is NOT a traditional White gi. I have one of these unbleached gis, love it, but it isn't close to the White you may be thinking of.

Some gyms have rules about which colors you can wear etc; just didn't want you to get this and find out it isn't truly white.

The gym I go to for gi training has no rules about colors, but most everyone wears white. typically I train no-gi, but I was just looking for something to train gi in without standing out in too much. I have a black gi, but I'm the only one in black. I did buy this, so I hope I don't stand out too much. Thanks again.

Benjamin, ill add this: Ive had this gi for 6 months or so, and after beight washed a bunch it go a lot whiter. Between this gi fading toward white, and white gis typically getting a bit dingey over time, it doesnt stsnd out too much.

I literally just got a gi in the mail on tuesday and i just ordered this one.

I bought just bought that muae gi with the awesome print inside. Kinda mad i passed on the inverted gear white panda too.

I would do A0H and shrink to fit.

No, it's not like the Standard Issue.
The Standard Issue is the one 93brand Gi that fits a bit differently. This one is cut like the premium 93brand Gis so expect a slightly different fit (hence the different size guides on 93brand.com for the standard issue vs everything else).

A2.

A2 is a safe bet, but A0H if you like a fitted Gi (A0H is like A0-A1 length with the width/girth of an A2).

L = long H= heafty

Grab the gi, it's a great product and you won't beat the price! I have a bunch of 93 brand, not one complaint.

As I stated above, this isn't a truly White gi - more of a natural color. this price point though is great for the quality gis that 93 brand puts out.

You can expect a White gi at this price point usually 1-2 times a month; generally you will see the Tatami Nova in white, or 93 brand standard issue, or another decent to good quality starter gi in that price range on here each month. Then you have Rolling Deals, which is where they put up a different item every 20 min or so, and they are items that have odd sizes left in stock etc; so you can find white gis during rolling deals really easy.

The Inverted gear is in a different price range though; those generally bottom out at 99$ on this site and go up to 130$; really good gi for the money though, but not the same price point.

I am a shopper really, and the limit to the amount of stuff I buy is related mostly to how much gear I can sneak in the house without my wife seeing. I do really like the basic $99 Inverted Gear gi I saw in the archives about a month ago. BJJHQ ever sell the Inverted bamboo gi?

Check out inverted 2.0 gold weave on their website. It’s their laat model but still amazing. $125 for the white is a really good deal in my opinion.
You also get a very high quality bag.

I have a bunch of inverted stuff too, even at full price their stuff is a great deal. The panda 2.0 is my favorite gi. The light panda is one of my go to summer gis.

I could be wrong but I am not sure if this is considered "white". This is unbleached so its closer to beige or light tan.

People on message boards are saying that unbleached is ok for IBJJF.

A2H and shrink to fit (it'll be a bit roomy at first). You're slightly under the height recommendation for A2H, so it would be a bit long. The alternative is regular A2, but your weight is a bit above the recommended A2 weight, so it would be a bit snug. Depends on your preference :)

How much shrinkage is expected from this gi? Ill mainly be using it for Judo.

I'm 5'9" 220 and I got an A2H of the V3. It was a little big at first but was able to shrink it down a bit. More than a year a later and the gi has held up great. For shorter wider guys this is a great gi to have in your arsenal!
