I'm 5'10 200lbs, I usually go A3 but the sleeves and pants are usually too long so I have to shrink them aggressively. Also I'm losing weight and expecting to be in the 180's I'm the next few months. Should I go A3 and shrink it, or just get A2 and hope it's not too tight?

Yes it does shrink quite a bit I forgot to mention that. I'm 5'10 200 lbs, and I got an A4 that pretty much shrank to A3 size. So I recommend to buy a size higher than usual and shrink to fit.

I wouldn't expect a competition gi to last more than maybe a year of 3-6 hours a week of training. I have a tatami nova that I've been using fairly often for the past few months and it's holding up very well. But I'm not sure how the nova compares to this one other than being cheaper.

Armbar Soap Company - Random 5-PACK

Bar soap (armbar or whatever else) doesn’t harbor any more bacteria than the water hitting your face when you shower. That plastic bottle soap dispenser is not exactly sterile either. I’ve been using armbar soap after training for over 5 years now, and I have never caught anything at the mats. I’ll never know for certain it’s because of the soap, but im quite sure it helps. Ymmv of course.
